Mental Health Specialist (Substance Abuse)

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Degree:
behavioral or social sciences; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:

Provide case management services for substance use disorder/chemical dependent patients by proactively coordinating, facilitating, and advocating the seamless treatment service delivery and other related services needed (such as:
educating patients, families and communities on substance use and chemical dependency disorders, intervention services and treatment modalities.); assess patient treatment needs, completing and following up on patient treatment plans insuring optimum treatment outcome. Selective Factor:
Additionally, you must have one of the following current, valid licensures; licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed marital and family therapist (LMFT), licensed professional councilor (LPC) or licensed behavioral practitioner (LBP). Also, candidate must hold a valid licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). You must provide a copy of each of your current, valid licensure or your application will be considered incomplete. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
