Physician (Neurologist)

Infrastructure:
The candidate will be part of the Neurology and Rehabilitation Service, a large interdisciplinary group of professionals that include neurologists, physiatrists, pain physician, physical therapists, Occupational Therapists, Recreational Therapists, physician assistants, nurse practitioner, chiropractors, osteopathic physician. There is close working relationship with other hospital services, including Ambulatory Care, Geriatrics, Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Services, Nursing, Medical Service, and Surgery Service. At the Lawton CBOC, the neurologist will join other Neurology & Rehabilitation team members already practicing at that site, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and chiropractic medicine, as well as a large group of primary care providers, nurses, and clerks who work in a cohesive and collegial fashion. The neurologist will have the opportunity to develop meaningful interdisciplinary partnerships. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in resident and student teaching on outpatient electives. Research and program-development opportunities are available. The candidate must have completed residency training in Neurology, have the ability to provide a full scope of diagnostic services to persons with neurological symptoms and diseases. Board certification or eligibility in Neurology is preferred. Nature of work:

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
(1) Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted. OR (2) Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted. OR (3) For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate. Licensure:
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency:
Completion of residency training in Neurology, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. English:

Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical. Position requires walking, standing, reading typewritten material without strain, ability to hear conversational voice, emotional and mental stability, and working closely with others. Must be able to physically respond when needed by prompt appearance at required location.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
